Meredith McKean, MD, MPH, Sarah Cannon Research Institute, Nashville, TN, shares findings from a Phase I, first-in-human study (NCT06108050) of JZP898, a conditionally activated prodrug of interferon alpha (IFN-α), alone or combined with pembrolizumab in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors. The study aims to determine the maximum tolerated dose, safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary antitumor activity. The combination is designed to enhance antitumor effects while minimizing systemic toxicity. Primary endpoints include dose-limiting toxicities and objective response rate, with secondary endpoints covering pharmacokinetics and overall survival. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
