GU Cancers 2021 | The impact of COVID-19 on genitourinary cancer care

John Gore, MD, MS, University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, WA, gives an outline of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on genitourinary cancer care. According to Dr Gore, there was a decrease in elective surgery, such as for localized or low-grade cancers, early on in the pandemic. A decrease in screening has also been observed, which may result in an influx of later-stage cancers in the near future. This interview took place during the 2021 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium.
