Hitomi Sakai, MD, Showa University, Tokyo, Japan, comments on the management of long-lasting adverse events such as nausea and vomiting in patients treated with trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd). The Phase II ERICA trial (WJOG14320B) demonstrated that the use of olanzapine has shown to improve patient quality of life, even in cases where these side effects are mild to moderate, offering an important option for symptom management in this population.
