Hitomi Sakai, MD, Showa University, Tokyo, Japan, gives an overview of strategies to manage side effects in patients receiving long-term treatment with trastuzumab deruxtecan. Key adverse effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, and interstitial lung disease. With the duration of trastuzumab deruxtecan treatment extending, managing these side effects has become increasingly critical, especially in terms of persistent nausea and vomiting.
