BTOG 2023 | Could vaping enable people to live a smoke-free life upon release from prison?

Rachael Murray, PhD, University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK, explores the topic of how to support individuals in prison to be smoke-free upon their release. Due to extenuating circumstances, methods exploring effective ways to support this population need to be explored. Promising data shows that high quality vapes may be a possible avenue to tackle this issue. In the future, it is hoped that these findings can be explored in a full-scale trial setting. This interview took place at the British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG) Annual Conference 2023 in Belfast, UK.
