BTOG 2023 | Vaping as a harm reduction measure in the lung screening population

Rachael Murray, PhD, University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK, comments on the use and public health benefits of vaping products as an alternative to combustible tobacco. As vaping products are 95% less harmful than tobacco cigarettes, their use should be encouraged in the lung screening population as a harm reduction measure. However, that their use should not be normalized amongst non-smokers. This interview took place at the British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG) Annual Conference 2023 in Belfast, UK.
