ESMO 2026 | DASL-HiCaP: darolutamide with ADT and RT in very high-risk localized prostate cancer

Tamim Niazi, MD, McGill University, Montreal, Canada, discusses the interim analysis of the Phase III DASL-HiCaP trial (ANZUP1801; NCT04136353), which evaluated adding darolutamide to androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and locoregional radiotherapy (RT) in very high-risk localized or biochemically persistent or recurrent prostate cancer. Addition of darolutamide significantly improved metastasis-free survival compared with placebo, with a manageable safety profile. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2026 Congress in Madrid, Spain.
