Alessandro Bertini, MD, Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, MI, discusses findings from a study that used area-dependant incidence (ADI) to objectively assess socioeconomic deprivation. While a previous trial reported no association between extended lymphadenectomy for radical cystectomy and extended lymphadenectomy, findings may not correlate true clinical representation. Patients of lower socioeconomic status also underwent higher rates of inadequate lymphadenectomy. This interview took place at the 2025 European Association of Urology (EAU) Congress in Madrid, Spain.
