Alessandro Bertini, MD, Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, MI, discusses the impact of socioeconomic deprivation on active surveillance (AS) oncological outcomes in North America. Whilst previous data showed that socioeconomic deprivation correlated reduced adherence to the guidelines protocol, this did not impact oncological outcomes. This interview took place at the 2025 European Association of Urology (EAU) Congress in Madrid, Spain.
