SITC 2024 | Interaction between inhibitory FcγRIIB receptor & anti-CD40 antibody for T-cell antitumor responses

Juan Osorio, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, The Rockefeller University, New York, NY, reviews the importance of targeting the CD40 receptor in cancer immunotherapy, which promotes dendritic cell maturation and T-cell antitumor activity within the microenvironment. The translation of these antibodies that agonize the CD40 pathway into clinical practice has witnessed the appearance of complications like cytokine release syndrome, liver toxicity and thrombocytopenia. The antibody Fc domain-FcγRIIB receptor interaction has been identified as a significant process in the promotion of T-cell antitumor activity.
