WCLC 2026 | Phase I dose expansion results of izalontamab brenitecan in EGFRm NSCLC
Alexander Spira, MD, PhD, FACP, FASCO, Virginia Cancer Specialists and US Oncology, Fairfax, VA, discusses the results of a Phase I study (NCT05983432) expansion cohort of izalontamab brenitecan (iza-bren), an EGFR x HER3 bispecific antibody conjugate (ADC) in EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Response rates were similar across three different doses, but the 2.5 milligram per kilogram dose level showed slightly higher progression-free survival and duration of response, and will be the dose used in the upcoming randomized clinical study comparing iza-bren to chemotherapy post-osimertinib. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
