Chinmay Jani, MBBS, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Doral, FL, describes a review on the evolving role of liquid biopsy in cancer diagnostics, prognostics, and treatment decision-making in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Dr Jani highlights the potential of various liquid biopsy components, including circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), cell-free DNA, and circulating tumor RNA (ctRNA), in detecting novel alterations and guiding personalized treatment approaches. By analyzing multiple studies, this review provides a narrative overview of current advancements and emerging platforms in liquid biopsy.
