Ross Carruthers, PhD, University of Glasgow, Glasgow, UK, comments on novel innovations to improve patient outcomes in glioblastoma, including the use of microbubbles to enhance drug delivery. Microbubbles can penetrate the blood-brain barrier, which remains a major barrier for existing therapies. FLASH radiotherapy is an additional novel technique which consists of a single ultra-high dose of radiation which will hopefully target brain tumors more effectively. This interview took place at the British Neuro-Oncology Society (BNOS) Annual Meeting 2022.
