ASCO 2024 | MANCAN2: managing hot flushes and night sweats in men with prostate cancer

Simon Crabb, PhD, MBBS, University of Southampton, Southampton, UK, discusses the findings from the MANCAN2 trial, which evaluated the efficacy of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) combined with treatment as usual (TAU) in reducing hot flushes and night sweats (HFNS) in patients with prostate cancer on androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Existing nurses were trained to carry out CBT, which reduces the need to use more resources or hire new people. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
