ISLB 2021 | Extracellular vesicles and the metastatic niche in liquid biopsy

Hector Peinado, PhD, Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), Madrid, Spain, discusses his presentation at ISLB 2021 on the role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) on the metastatic niche. Dr Peinado will present data on how EVs prepare lymph node metastasis and discuss how EVs can be used as surrogate immunotherapy markers and markers of tumor mutations. He will also talk about the how liquid biopsy can be utilised to improve treatment and diagnosis of cancers such as melanoma.
