ESMO 2018 | Guidelines for adherence to CINV treatment

There are many drugs available to prevent nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy. Here, Matti Aapro, MD, of the Genolier Clinic, Genolier, Switzerland, stresses the importance for physicians to adhere to the guidelines on the prevention of chemotherapy induced nausia and vomiting, set by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), in collaboration with the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC). From the ESMO 2018 Congress, in Munich, Germany, Dr Aapro also discusses the results from a European survey involving physicians to determine how well these guidelines are adhered to.
