Filippo Pietrantonio, MD, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milan, Italy, gives an overview of the Phase III DESTINY-Gastric03 (NCT04379596) trial, which assessed trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) monotherapy and combinations in patients with HER2-positive esophageal, gastric, or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma (GEJA). The study examines the efficacy of T-DXd in combination with fluoropyrimidine and pembrolizumab in first-line settings. Results indicate durable clinical benefits, particularly in patients receiving higher doses. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
