BTOG 2025 | Multimodal therapy and resectability in lung cancer

Yannis Perentes, MD, PhD, University of Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland,
discusses the evidence outlining benefit to a multimodal approach to lung
cancer treatment, utilising chemotherapy, immunotherapy (IO) in neoadjuvant
and adjuvant settings in resectable patients. Current clinical trials investigate
treatment options in borderline or unresectable patients. The AEGEAN trial
(NCT05925530) assesses chemo-IO induction before definitive localised
treatments to understand the resectability and inform on future treatment of
these patients. This interview took place at the BTOG 2025 congress in Belfast,
UK.
