Tim Rattay, MBChB, PhD, FRCS, University of Leicester, Leicester, UK, discusses the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in managing breast cancer. The PRE-ACT project is creating ‘explainable AI’ that provides outputs that aid patient and clinician decision making, not replace it. This interview took place at the 14th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC) in Milan, Italy.
