WCLC 2021 | Raising the bar in radiation oncology: what does the future hold?

Fumiko Chino, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, shares her thoughts on the most exciting recent advances in the field of radiation oncology. Radiation therapies are continually improving, with lesser side effects and increasing curative potential. Dr Chino highlights intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) as advanced technologies that have become standardly available. She also discusses evolving treatment options such as MR Linac and particle therapies which may bring additional benefits. This interview took place during the IASLC World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) virtual meeting 2021.
