The RETAIN-1 trial (NCT02710734) assessed a risk enabled therapy after initiating neoadjuvant chemotherapy for bladder cancer. Elizabeth Plimack, MD, MS, Fox Chase Cancer Centre, Philadelphia, PA, discusses interim results from Phase II RETAIN-2 trial (NCT02710734) of neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy in muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). A promising bladder-preservation rate was reported and those undergoing cystectomy had a notable rate of complete response. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
