BTOG 2023 | National Lung Cancer Audit (NLCA) 2023

Neal Navani, MA, MRCP, MSc, PhD, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, comments on the main findings released in the State of the Nation Report 2023 by the National Lung Cancer Audit (NLCA). Data followed lung cancer in England in 2021, and revealed that the incidence, and curative and systemic treatment rates have returned to pre-pandemic levels. The emergency presentation rate, however, remains higher than the levels prior to the pandemic. Data also followed lung cancer in Wales in 2020 and 2021, and less of a recovery to the pre-pandemic state has been noticed here. This interview took place at the British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG) Annual Conference 2023 in Belfast, UK.
