SITC 2021 | Risks and outcomes of COVID-19 infection for patients on immunotherapy

Yevgeniy R. Semenov, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, talks on a real-world study investigating the risks and outcomes of COVID-19 infection in patients receiving immunotherapy. The results of the study showed that patients on immunotherapy were not at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 and were not any more likely to have subsequent serious complications if they were infected. This interview took place during the 36th Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
