WCLC 2024 | Developments and challenges in MET targeting for lung cancer
Alexander Spira, MD, PhD, Virginia Cancer Specialist, Fairfax, VA, comments the growing significance of MET as a therapeutic target in lung cancer. Dr Spira emphasizes the emergence of EGFR-MET bispecific antibodies like amivantamab and ABBV-400 in clinical studies. He also discusses the complexities of exon 14 skipping mutations, noting capmatinib and tepotinib as effective treatments. Ongoing research is exploring MET-targeting compounds in various tumour types, including gastric, colorectal, and head and neck cancers.
