SABCS 2024 | LITESPARK-029: belzutifan with fulvestrant in ER+/HER2- breast cancer

Bora Lim, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses the Phase II LITESPARK-029 trial (NCT06428396) of belzutifan, a HIF-2α inhibitor, with fulvestrant versus everolimus with fulvestrant or exemestane in patients with ER+/HER2- unresectable or metastatic breast cancer. Primary endpoints include progression-free survival (PFS) and secondary objectives include overall survival and clinical benefit. This trial aims to address resistance mechanisms and improve outcomes in advanced disease. This interview took place at the 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) congress in San Antonio, TX.
