AACR 2025 | Identification and management of EGFR inhibitor-induced side effects

Anisha Patel, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, gives an overview of the common side effects of EGFR inhibitor therapy, noting that acneiform or papulopustular rash are common and early manifestations. To manage these side effects, oral tetracyclines and topical steroids can suppress the inflammatory pathway and reduce the presence of the rash. This interview took place at American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2025 in Chicago, IL.
