VJVirtual | The goals of the SITC virtual summit on the clinical research crisis

Leisha A. Emens, MD, PhD, UPMC Hillman Cancer Centre, Pittsburgh, PA, discusses the goals of the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) summit which was held on 17th August 2022. The summit aimed to bring together various stakeholders to address clinical research issues such as staffing problems, clinical trial conduct inefficiencies, and increasingly complex regulatory requirements. The summit goals were to define these issues, provide a call to action, propose potential solutions, and define infrastructure and strategies to implement these and bring national attention to this clinical research crisis.
