Leisha A. Emens, MD, PhD, UPMC Hillman Cancer Centre, Pittsburgh, PA, discusses the upcoming Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) annual meeting on the 8-12 November 2022. In recent times, the society has drastically expanded, and a large number of abstracts have been submitted for this meeting. There is widespread excitement to discuss pre-clinical and clinical immunotherapy research, with the aim of creating better therapies for patients everywhere to eradicate cancer using immunotherapy.
