GU Cancers 2024 | PROpel: gene-by-gene efficacy of olaparib and abiraterone in mCRPC

Neal Shore, MD, FACS, Carolina Urologic Research Center, Myrtle Beach, SC, provides an analysis of the Phase III PROpel trial (NCT03732820) of olaparib and abiraterone in first-line metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The gene-specific analysis unveiled that BRCA2, ATM, and CDK12 mutations were most prevalent, with a notable clinical benefit observed in patients with these mutations. Dr Shore additionally discusses the nuances of individual gene mutations, emphasizing the significant treatment benefit seen in BRCA-mutated patients.
