ASCO 2024 | The role of OSSS in treatment decisions for patients with stage MS neuroblastoma

Leonora Slatnick, MD, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, comments on a prospective trial (NCT02176967) examining the use of the Organ System Severity Score (OSSS) in managing patients with newly diagnosed stage MS neuroblastoma (NBL). Results indicate that an OSSS of 0 at diagnosis can identify patients suitable for safe observation, with no progression in organ dysfunction over a median follow-up of 36 months. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
