ESMO 2021 | The impact of cancer treatment on COVID-19 mortality

Paolo A. Ascierto, MD, National Tumor Institute, Milan, Italy, comments on the correlation between a higher mortality rate in cancer patients treated with specific treatments and COVID-19. Dr Ascierto explains that a large study involving 21,000 cancer patients reported that no treatment has been found to increase the risk of mortality upon COVID-19 infection.
