Paolo A. Ascierto, MD, National Tumor Institute, Milan, Italy, comments on the correlation between a higher mortality rate in cancer patients treated with specific treatments and COVID-19. Dr Ascierto explains that a large study involving 21,000 cancer patients reported that no treatment has been found to increase the risk of mortality upon COVID-19 infection. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2021 congress.
