Christopher McConville, PhD, University of Birmingham, Birmingham, UK, describes difficulties in delivering drugs in glioblastoma. The blood-brain barrier can prevent the therapeutic dose of a certain medication from entering the brain and novel therapies often have a dose limiting toxicity, preventing clinicians from administering higher doses. With a limited number of therapies such as temozolomide being able to reach the brain, there is need to optimize drug delivery. This interview took place at the British Neuro-Oncology Society (BNOS) Annual Meeting 2022.
