Giulia Martini, MD, PhD, Università degli Studi della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Naples, Italy, reflects on the findings from the CAPRI 2-GOIM trial (NCT05312398) investigating cetuximab-based therapies. The results are significant for patients with RAS/BRAF wild type tumors in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), as molecular profiling showed which patients can benefit more from anti-EGFR therapy. The next step will be to correlate these findings with the survival findings that will evolve from the CAPRI 2-GOIM trial in the near future. This interview took place at 2024 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancer Annual Congress in Munich, Germany.
