WCLC 2024 | Reducing adverse events from amivantamab with dexamethasone in NSCLC

Gilberto Lopes, MD, University of Miami, Miami, FL, comments on the findings of the Phase II SKIPPirr study (NCT05663866), which aimed to reduce infusion-related reactions (IRRs) in patients with EGFR-mutated advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with amivantamab and lazertinib. Patients received dexamethasone, methotrexate, or montelukast, and only dexamethasone two days before infusion of amivantamab managed to successfully decrease adverse events. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
