WCLC 2024 | Efficacy of dual EGFR and MET inhibition in NSCLC post EGFR TKI failure

David Lee, MBBS, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, explores outcomes in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with both EGFR mutations and MET alterations who received MET inhibitors, with or without EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI), following EGFR TKI failure. The study demonstrated that dual EGFR/MET blockade resulted in longer duration of response compared to MET inhibition alone. Findings suggest MET polysomy may predict better outcomes, highlighting the need for further patient selection criteria. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
