Nicolas Girard, MD, PhD, Institut Curie, Paris, France, discusses the range of first-line EGFR-targeted therapies for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The FLAURA2 regimen (NCT04035486) of osimertinib plus chemotherapy has shown benefit in patients with aggressive disease, those with CNS metastasis, multiple metastases and ctDNA-positive disease, and brings the side effects associated with chemotherapy. The MARIPOSA regimen (NCT04487080) of amivantamab plus lazertinib produces the same benefit but also in patients with less aggressive disease, indicating a wider benefit. The sequencing of these regimens remains a challenge, and requires further data in order to decide the optimal sequence. This interview took place at the 2026 European Lung Cancer Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark.
