ELCC 2026 | Updated results from PALOMA-2: first-line subcutaneous amivantamab plus lazertinib in NSCLC
Nicolas Girard, MD, PhD, Institut Curie, Paris, France, discusses updated results from the PALOMA-2 trial (NCT05498428) of first-line subcutaneous amivantamab plus lazertinib in EGFR-mutated advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The study introduced prophylactic anticoagulation and made investigators aware of dermatologic side effects, finding a lower rate of administration related reactions with the subcutaneous formulation compared with intravenous. The response rate of 85% is in line with previous studies but a higher progression-free survival of around 28 months was observed, which may be related to patient selection or the formulation with prophylactic measures. This interview took place at the 2026 European Lung Cancer Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark.
