GU Cancers 2025 | CheckMate 274: additional survival outcomes of adjuvant nivolumab in MIBC

Elizabeth Plimack, MD, MS, Fox Chase Cancer Centre, Philadelphia, PA, discusses updated outcomes from Phase III CheckMate 274 (NCT02632409) of adjuvant nivolumab versus placebo in patients with high-risk muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) following radical surgery with or without neoadjuvant cisplatin-based chemotherapy (NAC). Nivolumab improved disease-free survival across all patients with MIBC, and interim overall survival favored nivolumab. Safety remained consistent with previous data, supporting nivolumab as a standard of care in this population. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
