GU Cancers 2025 | Updated results of axitinib and nivolumab in previously treated mRCC

Elizabeth Plimack, MD, MS, Fox Chase Cancer Centre, Philadelphia, PA, gives an overview of results from a Phase I/II study (NCT03172754) of axitinib with nivolumab in patients with pre-treated metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC). The combination achieved a notable disease control rate and encouraging overall survival, with some patients remaining progression-free after stopping therapy at two years. Adverse events were consistent with known profiles. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
