ASCO 2025 | DEKA-1: DK210 in EGFR-expressing advanced cancers

Alexander Spira, MD, PhD, FACP, FASCO, NEXT Oncology Virginia, Fairfax, VA, comments on dose escalation and early clinical findings from the Phase I DEKA-1 trial (NCT05704985) of DK210, a tumor-targeted IL-2 × IL-10 immunocytokine, in patients with EGFR-expressing advanced cancers. The agent demonstrated immune activation with limited regulatory T cell expansion and manageable safety across dose levels. Adverse events were mostly mild to moderate, with signs of cytokine-driven activity without dose-limiting toxicities. This interview took place during the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
