ASCO GI 2026 | Phase II study of durvalumab + olaparib in patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer and DDR genes

Teresa Macarulla, MD, Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain, discusses findings from a Phase II trial of durvalumab plus olaparib in patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer and DNA damage repair (DDR) genes alterations. Durvalumab plus olaparib demonstrated promising and durable antitumor activity, with a manageable safety profile. Further research is needed to better identify patients with prolonged disease control. This interview took place at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium in San Francisco, CA.
