WCLC 2026 | Younger patients with lung cancer show distinct genomic and immune phenotype alterations
Chinmay Jani, MD, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Miami, FL, presents findings from a study examining genomic and immune phenotype alterations in younger patients with lung cancer. Younger patients had a higher chance of having actionable alterations, with the common alterations differing compared with those found in older patients. In addition, younger patients had lower immune scores, whilst STK11/KEAP1 alterations were more common in older patients, suggesting higher resistance rates. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
