ASCO 2024 | Trial updates in neoadjuvant adjuvant therapies for early-stage NSCLC

Jay Lee, MD, UCLA Health, Los Angeles, CA, discusses the latest advances in targeted therapies in the neoadjuvant setting for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Osimertinib and alectinib, which were assessed in the ADAURA (NCT02511106) and ALINA (NCT03456076) trials respectively, have both proven to be efficacious EGFR- and ALK-positive NSCLC. Patients will benefit from having systemic therapy before and after surgery, and the NeoADAURA (NCT04351555) and NAUTIKA1 (NCT04302025) trials will further assess targeted therapies in this setting. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
