Vincent Picozzi, MD, Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, WA, explains how the Precision Promise trial (NCT04229004) represents a dual innovation in pancreatic cancer research – evaluating pamrevlumab as a treatment while also introducing a novel trial design with advanced statistical analyses. This adaptive platform trial explored the efficacy of pamrevlumab in combination with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel in both first- and second-line treatment settings. Despite a negative trial outcome, the study continues to offer valuable insights into future trial methodologies and treatment strategies for pancreatic cancer. This interview took place at the ASCO GI Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
