ASCO GI 2025 | LAPIS: pamrevlumab for locally advanced pancreatic cancer

Vincent Picozzi, MD, Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, WA, explores the results of the LAPIS trial (NCT03941093), investigating the addition of pamrevlumab to nab-paclitaxel/gemcitabine for locally advanced pancreatic cancer. The trial included two different disease stages and aimed to assess the combination’s potential to improve overall survival and increase the number of patients eligible for surgery by downstaging their tumors. Despite no difference in survival or surgical eligibility, the study’s innovative design may offer insights for future research in pancreatic cancer treatment. This interview took place at the ASCO GI Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
