WCLC 2024 | Management of radiation-induced cardiotoxicity in lung cancer

Gerry Hanna, MBBCh, PhD, MRCP, FRCR, FRANZCR, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland, discusses management and reduction of radiation-related cardiotoxicity in lung cancer. Due to proximity to the lungs, parts of the heart such as the coronary arteries are exposed to radiation. Additional parts such as the pulmonary vein may also be damaged as a result, causing arrythmia, and collaborating with cardiologists is necessary to address these issues. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
