AACR 2024 | The benefits of liquid biopsies for lung cancer in the community setting

Deepti Behl, MD, Sutter Sacramento Medical Center, Sacramento, CA, comments on the role of liquid biopsies for lung cancer. A number of patients, who will initially be diagnosed with lung cancer, will have stage 4 metastatic lung cancer, and finding targetable mutations is necessary to treat the tumors. The advent of liquid biopsies have expedited this process, enabling clinicians to inform patients of treatment options in a timely manner. This interview took place at American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2024 in San Diego, CA.
