Lion Shahab, MSc, PhD, CPsychol, AFBPsS, PGCLTHE, from University College London, London, UK, reflects on the progress of lung cancer clinical trials underway to investigate a role for early screening in current and past cigarette smokers. Dr Shahab suggests that this may improve treatment outcomes as various biomarkers have been identified to be associated with the development of lung cancer. This video was recorded at the 2018 National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Cancer Conference, held in Glasgow, UK.
