NCRI 2016 | Occurence of APOBEC mutagenesis in human cancers

Reuben Harris, PhD of University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN discusses APOBEC mutagenesis, which occurs in almost half of human cancers. In some cancer types almost all mutations are attributable to this source of mutation. Other cancer types may be less affected, but Dr Harris points out that this knowledge could be used moving forward when new therapies are designed. Recorded at the 2016 National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Conference in Liverpool, UK.
