WCM/EADO 2021 | New technologies in the tumor immunology research field

Anna Bettina Sobottka-Brillout, MD, PhD, University Hospital Zürich, Zürich, Switzerland, discusses the potential of new technologies in the tumor immunology research field. Understanding why tumors are immunologically hot or cold, and why they turn cold, is one of the most pursued topics in immuno-oncology. Dr Sobottka-Brillout outlines technologies, such as digital pathology and cytometry by time of flight (CyTOF), that can contribute to increasing the functional, mechanistic and clinical understanding of tumors. This interview took place during the 10th World Congress of Melanoma in conjunction with the 17th EADO Congress Interactive Virtual Meeting.
